The purpose of our affiliate program is to help as many parents as possible to discover Ella’s Wool, learn about the benefits of merino wool, and experience it for themselves. And in that way, to attract new customers to Ella’s Wool.
Naturally, then, we are eager to have Ella’s Wool show up next to content about kids and parents, playing outdoors, exploring and going on adventures.
That’s why we hope you will share your stories and experience with Ella’s Wool, along with your picture and videos, thoughts and commentary, virtually everywhere you can. That can be social media, blogs, podcasts, TV, magazines or in face to face meetings with people.
Please don’t share your discount code on coupon sites or similar services. They don’t actually help people discover or learn about Ella’s Wool, but are primarily used by people who already know what they want. You can read more about our feelings about coupon sites here.
Please don’t use automation, like scripts or spambots, to spread your link or coupon code, but be respectful of the audience. We don’t know what the next generation of automated nuisance will look like, but it’s important to us that recommendations and mentions of Ella’s Wool come across as authentic, sincere, personal, not mass-produced spam.
Please don’t link to, or post about, Ella’s Wool alongside “mature” content. We (obviously) want to be a family-friendly brand. We trust your judgement, and don’t want to impose any arbitrarily bright lines, but as a rule of thumb: If it would require an R rating or higher in the movie theater, it’s probably not something we’d like Ella’s Wool to be associated with.
Please don’t compete with us on buying ads. Just as an example, we obviously can’t have our partners bidding on “Ella’s Wool” as a keyword in Google, in order to outrank us and sell that traffic back to us. If you are an expert in advertising, and think we are leaving money on the table, reach out to us. I’m sure we can find a way to collaborate.
If you’re in doubt, ask us.
If a particular partnership isn’t working for us, we will typically reach out to that partner, to try to find a better way to work together.
However, we always reserve the right to immediately end any partnership that we don’t think works for us, if we think that is necessary. And if someone deliberately seems to disregard the intent of the affiliate program, or our explicit wishes and guidelines for how to promote Ella’s Wool, we reserve the right to withhold payment.
